Passing....

Mom gets buried tomorrow, I'm not sure if I am ready for it or not. Most of the time I can remain steady but some things... like my little grandson pounding on her bedroom door screaming for her set me to crying so fast. How do you explain to a 2 year old that his Nanny isn't in there any more and won't ever be again??? I see things on TV or at the store ( I had to go buy a freaking dress for the funeral) and they instantly make me thing I've got to tell Mom about that. I've been told that it gets better... I sure hope so but honestly I don't believe a word they say.

Unexpected

my Mother was hospitalized a little over a week ago... we thought it would be another pneumonia or something equally simple to deal with. Well it wasn't. It turned out to be Lung Cancer. Not a week after the diagnosis she's gone. Yes GONE as in never going to hold my hand or hugs. Not there to say good night or have a good day at work. Gone.
